Of Chocolate and Argentina among other things...

Finally a post on all the incoming mail of the last days! This post is not chronological, it's just the order I have the pictures on my camera...

Postcard from Sabrina
First, a postcard from Sabrina in Finland! I would love to go to Finland one day, it all seems so peaceful and quiet.... and I would love to see northern lights! Did anyone of you ever see northern lights?

postcrossing card from Russia
Next in the row is this postcrossing card I got from Russia. Sadly I don't understand any of it becauses it is all written in russian... oh well.

Postcard from the Netherlands
I got this postcard from a guy in the Netherlands, I sent him a postcard on postcrossing a few weeks ago and he decided to write back :)

Letter from M.
Also from the Netherlands, this lovely letter from M. She also sent a photo and some used stamps for my collection in that lovely little envelope you can see there!

Chocolate letter
Yum.... I got chocolate! Well, not really chocolate, but a letter wrapped in chocolate paper :) A good idea, don't you think? This letter was sent from Olivia.

postcard from Laura
I also got a postcard from Laura, a very nice one as I thought :)

Letter from Rocio
Then there was a letter from Rocio in Argentina!

Argentinian stamps
 Look at the lovely stamps!

Postcard showing the nightfall in the Calchaqui Valley, Salta, North-Argentina
Interesting enough, I got a postcard from Argentina on the exact same day, too! This one is from my dear cousin who spent some days in the north of Argentina. Isn't it beautiful? I so long to go to South America again....

Argentinian stamp
Once again a very nice stamp. Those two pieces of mail even got stamped on the same day! But they are from totally different corners of Argentina, so I am impressed they both made it here on the same day!

Make my day
Last, but not least, this little package from Bubbles.

Contents
And the contents! Three sheets of outline-stickers, a lovely little note and an extra, as it was easter! Chocolate! So nice! Thank you!

I hope you are all doing well. I finally handed in the paper I had to write yesterday, I am really glad that it's (almost) over now... I still have to prepare everything today to present it tomorrow, but at least I don't have to write anything anymore.

Just a little reminder...

Later on I will do a post with lots and lots of great mail I received the past week (why is it that whenever I am away I get a lot of mail and when I am home and not on holidays it seems like I don't get anything?), but yet that I am still in University and most of the mail is at home, I just wanted to remind you to take part in this project from Burst of Bubbles. I know that really many of you read her blog (or maybe also this one) and enjoy the presents she sends out to make our day, so please take the time, write an indroduction letter and send it to her :) If you want one potential pen pal more, that is.

Even though the 31st of March is already over, I can imagine that you still can hop in without problems...

It's very easy:
You write an introduction letter on your computer, maybe one page long (remember to include your postal address) and send it to her e-mail which you can find on her blog on the right (under the header "contact me"). She then will print and decorate it and will offer it on her blog for someone to receive it. And then a potential new pen pal will receive your letter in his (or her) mailbox and will send you a letter (or maybe a postcard) back.

Well, that's all for now, I hope you'll all send her something!

Take care,
Caddi

PS: I saw that some of my postcards (both Turkey and France) have started to arrive - phew!

PPS: I had a great week in the snow!

Make my day

Hello everybody,
You guys probably all know the make my day blog, right? If you don't, you should go and check it out! Anyways, what I wanted to show you is this awesame little package I got in the mail yesterday! Last week, I won something :) yay!
Make my day!
Here's what I won: four selfmade cards to make my day (and the day of someone else who will receive them... actually, I already sent the pinkish one.)
The cards came with the little tags to make cards and with a lovely little note. THANKS :)

I also got this postcard yesterday. It was part of the ad-card-tag I participated in on the postcrossing forum and shows a "jungle" in Potsdam (close to Berlin)

I also got this short letter from Michelle yesterday. Michelle is collecting quotes from around the world and asked me to send her one.
So, I sent her one :) The envelope is actually very plain, I know, but I was in a big big hurry. BUT can you see the typing? YES! One of my grannies got me a typewriter! It arrived today and I love it. It reminds me of the old times when I was over at her home for the holidays and would be typing and typing and typing there with my cousins :) She told me my younger cousins (we are five "grown ups" and three "kids") don't like her typewriter that much like we did :( Anyways, now I have my own one! (Those little dots you see there are not dirt but glitter by the way :) )
I got a typewriter!!
I also sent this letter to a potential new pen pal. It's a girl from postcrossing whom I sent a postcard and who asked if I'd like to be her pen pal. I decided to not write her an email back but to send her a letter so that it'll be a little surprise for her.
First letter to C.

And I sent out a small package filled with 9 presents to my godmother who will be celebrating her birthday next week. I included one of the cards I won on make my day. I love that the package itself already looks like a present :)
Package to my godmother
And finally, I got this postcrossing card today. It's from the Czech Republic, from the city of Brno and shows the cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, one of the most famous buildings in the city.

How was your (mail) day? And do you own a typewriter?
