Happy World Book Day!

As you might remember from the last post, we just moved. Now you might be wondering - What's the connection between World Book Day and moving?

Let me tell you. Both the boyfriend and I are avid readers. We don't read as much as we did when we were still little ones and had nothing to worry about but school, but we still do like to read. During our 2 1/2 weeks of holidays I read 6 books (a big thanks to all the hostels who have all these books standing around for swapping or just borrowing while I'm in the hostel (I can't stand to leave my books behind...)) - oh, and plus our guidebook of course, but I wouldn't "really" count that. This year I remember reading 20 books. Books (or stationery, you got me...) are one of the best gifts you could give me. I don't even want to think about how much money I spent on books in my life already - if I'd have to guess, I'd say at least... - no, I won't tell you ;-) But I will say that the two boards in the middle are loaded with more than 350 € worth of books - and I would spend it all again :)

So - I still didn't mention the move, did I? Well, having lots of books means you have to carry all of them down five floors and up five floors again. Having lots of books means that you notice you really need a new shelf when the one you got two and a half years ago is almost full even before you unpacked all of your books.

And there you have your connection between books and our move. I love our books, but sometimes I wish they'd be lighter. Would I rather read them on an e-reader? I don't think so. Do I want books to be celebrated? You bet I do!

Did you know that today was World Book Day?

I'm back home :)

Liebe Leser,

I'm back again! Costa Rica was great and lots of fun - we went on a lot of hikes, saw many monkeys, birds, insects and even some sloths, went swimming in the ocean (oh how I missed it) and enjoyed our holidays. I'm still having a bit of a jetlag and a weird eating rythm, but I know that it'll be back to normal in a few days.

I received some mail while I was away and actually already started responding! So tomorrow, I'll send out four letters and a postcard. I don't have any pictures on the computer right now, so that will have to wait...

On other news, we are getting ready for the move, which will probably happen this weekend.

I hope you are all doing good!

Alles Liebe,
Caddi
