Stats of the Months - March, April and May 2013

So I finally got around to make another stats - post - with being away over the end of the months it wasn't easy.

The last months mail was reeeeaaaally slow! Seriously. Looking back to May of last year, I got and sent three times as much mail in comparison. Well, but at least that means I'm able to catch up, right? But still - it feels a bit strange to not have a stash of letters to reply to.

So let's see the different months...

In March, I received one postcard and 13 letters and sent 33 postcards (yes, that was Costa Rica...), eleven letters and two packages. I don't remember how much I spent on postage in Costa Rica, but in Germany it was 19,22 €.

In April, I received eight postcards, ten letters and one package. I sent four postcards, eleven letters again and two packages. I spent 14,02 € on postage that month.

In May, I received four postcards and nine letters, having sent out eleven postcards, 18 letters and one package. I spent 22,12 €.

You can see most of my incoming mail on this picture - the top left is mail from March, the top right mail from April and the bottom is mail from May. Looking at it now, there is ony little variety in origins - most are from the USA, Germany or the UK, with the occasional Philippines, Sri Lanka, Argentina or Togo - I even got a letter from Russia in May and a few postcards from Italy, but I think that's about it.
How have your mail days been? I hope your mailbox is not starving :)

Caddi

The Basilisk...

... once spread fear in a small town. Luckily Peter, the apprentice baker, could defeat him, so that now the history of the Basilisk, brave Peter and pretty Leni can travel the world.

In other news I have written quite a few letters but haven't gotten around to take photos of them before sending them off.

I hope you are all doing good!

Monday's Mail

Hello dears!
I can't believe this either, but this finally is a mail-post ;-) I haven't photographed all of the mail that passed through my hands theses weeks, but I'll show you some recent outgoings... This will be a bit picture heavy :)

A letter heading out for the intro letter swap on swap-bot organized by the Postal Society.

These were a letter to Laura and some postcards - one to Italy and another one to the USA.

A postcard to my father - yes, I always send him boat-postcards somehow :)

A letter to a German penpal on stationery I had for years and Diddl sheets.

Two postcards for my godmothers - how I wish I'd be at that place by the lighthouse now!

These are a small package to Yana, a letter to Jennifer, another one to my mother for mother's day (both written on stationery designed by Fab) and a postcard to my goddaughter.

A letter for Maria in Russia, a new penpal. I hope it gets there well!

A letter heading out for a postage stamps swap on swap-bot and another letter on stationery designed by Fab going out to Lucas in the USA.

Letters going out to LR and Michelle in the USA.

A letter heading out to Jess in Australia, stamps for a tag on P.S.

And, lastly, two packages I sent out already a few weeks ago - one to my goddaughter and her mother.

I had to seal it like this :) There's a book included and the postal workers have to be able to open it.

And another one to my mother, who had her birthday :)

The stamp is one of my favourites ever!

That's all for now!
I had only very little incoming mail the past weeks - only three letters and one postcard so far this month! My mailbox is quite sad. I'm leaving for a trip to Berlin tomorrow and will be gone until the end of the week, so I hope I'll have some mail waiting for me when I get back :) Did you have good mail days this month?

Alles Liebe,
Caddi

I got a "little" package from Yana!

So - I noticed I still didn't write about the goodie's I got in the past months, but I decided to start with the most recent one and then see where it'll go.

Yana was moving this past month as well and offered to send me a goodie bag while cleaning out her stationery stash!
I then found this in my mailbox two weeks ago...

Of couldn't wait and already opened the package while still aboard the train and boy! I was excited!

Apart from a small notepad and single envelopes I also got this cute notebook,

and many flat cards with the corresponding envelopes! The paper of this one feels amazing :)

These are really cute!

Just like this one :)

Two Paris cards, which look amazing!

Some classy ladies

And lastly, black and pink cards!

All in all, a wonderful package! Thank you so much Yana! I will send you something back very soon :)

Alles Liebe,
Caddi

P.S. - You should join!

Have you guys heard of the new penpal club that's out there? The Postal Society is awesome (and with a great design - I really like Fabs creations :))! Fab, Natalie and Andreia started it just last Friday and I can tell you: As soon as I read about it on Fabs blog I made sure to join! You should do the same, I can tell you :)

Why?

Well, the members all seem to be really kind people (imagine this: more than 150 snailmailers already joined!), it's all about snailmailing, the forum is filled with great discussions already, you can join tags, swaps and challenges and download printable goodies, receive a newsletter - oh, and all of that for free! Yep, you read that right - there are no costs!

You could of course upgrade to the premium membership (also for just 8 €), which includes among others a pin badge, two vinyl stickers with the P.S. logo, exclusive swaps, an exclusive monthly newsletter with member and country spotlights and exclusive printable letter sets and other postal goodies, which I'm thinking about doing in the future (even though it's free shipping in May - hm...) just to support these great ladys :)

So, are you in? If you join, feel free to add me as a friend, I'd love to see you guys there!

All the best,
Caddi

No pictures today :(

Is anyone else having problems with uploading pictures to blogger? I wanted to update on mail, but I can't upload any pictures, which is not very helpful of course.
Well, but maybe it's also my computer telling me I should focus on university instead of blogging - I mean, I have to hand in some papers these days, so I'd better be finishing those instead of posting, right?
I hope you are all having a good time and enjoying your holiday (if you are having a holiday today...). I love may because there are so many holidays! Yay for four free days extra this month :)
All the best!
